Keeping Children Safe
Welcome to our guide - Keeping Children Safe in North Lincolnshire
We all know how challenging it can be to bring up a child in today’s world.
It can be a daunting task, and it seems that with all the hard work it takes there’s never a moment to rest. There are many rewards that you gain from parenting and there is no more important role that any of us can play than being a parent.
However if you are ever stuck and need someone or somewhere to go for some advice or guidance there are plenty of organisations in North Lincolnshire that are there for you.
The guide was put together to provide some advice on some of the most common areas of concern and those issues many parents seek information about or help to resolve.
This guide should signpost you in the right direction if you require further advice about any areas covered in this handbook. Please use the contact information provided in each section to find out more or seek help if you need to.
This guide is arranged around the five ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes: Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Make a Positive Contribution, and Achieve Economic Well-Being. We have chosen and ordered the subjects to match the priorities in the North Lincolnshire Children and Young People’s Plan 2006-2009 where possible. We have highlighted issues relating to our most vulnerable children and young people including: Children with disabilities, Young carers, Teenage parents, and Children in need of protection.
If you want more information look on our website www.northlincs.gov.uk and we welcome your feedback, comments, ideas and suggestions.
