Workforce Strategy

Agencies have been working together to produce a North Lincolnshire Children's Workforce Strategy. The work necessary to produce this Strategy is underway and it will be published in 2007. This Strategy will be based on the principle that the people who work with children are central to keeping them safe and helping them get the most out of life. In it we will celebrate the difficult and challenging work that they perform. We want tovalue the specific skills that people from different professional backgrounds bring, and we also want to break down the professional barriers that inhibit joint working, and tackle recruitment and retention problems. Our goal must be to make working with children an attractive, high status career, and to develop a more skilled and flexible workforce. This will enable us together to work towards delivering thefive outcomes and fifteen priorities for children and young people in North Lincolnshire.
